CHARACTER CREATION GUIDE
1. To edit your character profile, you will be editing your account profile. There are spaces for the following that you can then fill out accordingly.
2. When the account profile has been filled out and saved, you are then ready for character verification. To verify your character, fill out the form in Character Verification and wait for staff approval.

NAME
Your character can have a first and last name, or only a first name. It’s up to you. All names are acceptable, but do not stylize names with symbols, extra letters, or numbers when filling out your profile.

GENDER
Gender does not play a role in your character’s stats. However, it may play a role in what ranks or positions you can achieve in groups, and the such.

BODY TYPE
There are four different body types that you can pick from. Each body type has a different set of base stats that will determine various things on the site, such as fights, diseases, random events, hunting, and foraging. In addition, body types affect how points are given during fights, as well as various actions and events throughout the site.

Each body type is available for each of the species.
Each type has a primary trait and a secondary trait. Tertiary traits can be purchased with Experience Points. (These appear on the profile in parentheses by the body type.) If the trait is not primary, secondary, or tertiary for a body type, is it called standard. Standard traits must be leveled up much further to be effective.

STATS
The stats of your base body type are added to the base stats of your species. Staff will calculate this for you. Stats can be increased by spending Experience Points. Note that the Primary and Secondary traits of a body type cannot be changed.

SPECIES
There are three teirs of species available. The first character created must be a Tier One species. However, the second characterDEF 0 - END 0 - ING 0 - SPD 0 - WHM 0 can be a Tier Two species. A player cannot play more Tier Two characters than Tier One, but can play an equal amount. Tier Three species must be purchased with Experience points. The higher tier a species is, the higher the base stats and the more rare the species is on the island.

AGE
For the sake of ease, the ages and lifespans and maturity ages of the birds will be a uniform system. Your bird can be whatever age you choose, except under a year old and over 7 years old.

PERSONALITY
The personality must be at least 200 words.

APPEARANCE
The appearance must be at least 150 words. Include eye color in the description. Feel free to get creative and add unique features such as scars. However, there are limitations as you must create your character realistically in appearance. There are various physical traits that can be added with purchase from the shop.
EYE COLOR
Any of the following eye colors can be chosen. Restricted colors must be bought with experience points. Other eye traits, such as heterochromia must be purchased.
Unlimited: blue, green, yellow, orange, red, brown
Restricted: purple, black, white, gray

FEATHER COLOR
It is required that you stay in the general coloration of the species. Colors can be darker in variation, lighter, duller, and so on. Get creative. Though, don't get too creative. There are some restrictions, too many situations to list, so this will be up to staff discretion.
There are also various coloration traits that can be purchased with Experience Points, such as pied coloring, albino coloring, and melanistic coloration.
PAST
The past must be at least 150 words and coincide with the backstory and plot of BTB.

AFFILIATIONS
All birds can join groups as long as they qualify. (You can still try out if you don't meet a certain qualification, but you will most likely get denied.) If there is a group that you would like to join, there is a simple process of application to follow.
It is required that a joining post be made in the territory or base location of the affiliation that you desire to join. The leader, or someone qualified to allow members, will then accept you.
Make sure the group is open for new members first. It is also recommended that you discuss joining with the player of the leader, it makes things much easier.
The page of the group will indicate if there is a form you need to fill out before joining. If there is, make sure to include that in your character verification post.

AFFLICTIONS
Afflictions cannot be chosen by members unless purchased with Experience Points. Through random events, site-wide events, and other action-related mishaps (investigating, raiding, fighting, scavenging) you may come across one of the various peculiar contaminants on Vamazia island. Who knows what these contaminants can cause.
Afflictions are added to the encyclopedia as they are discovered by characters. Afflictions can only be bought if they have been discovered, of course! Some afflictions can be passed down and inherited from parents.
This portion is left on the profile in case something does occur to the character in the future.
