Welcome to Vamazia, and island of an undisclosed location somewhere where it's warm and tropical. The ocean surrounds, and the nearest land is who knows how far away. As the ocean shores beat at the jagged cliff edges, the place appears to be a formidable fortress, casting away human settlement. For a while, Vamazia was a bustling litte pinnacle for tourism, with its lush jungles and wildlife. Most famously, Vamazia was known for its avian preserve, including species of all locations.
However, the preserve and the city were closed down when word got out about links with the black market and other deeper scandals. The shabby, questionable preserve had been run with little regulation and the entire island fell under scrutiny. Those in charge were seized and the birds that were found were relocated to places that were certified and reliable. The only city in Vamazia was soon deserted, and all industries and activities stopped.
However, much of the island went un-investigated, and with the shanty-like preserve's conditions, many birds escaped and continued to live on the island. The subterranean complex under the preserve was never found and the further dark mysteries of Vamazia's avian preserve were never investigated.
With the island abandonned by humans, the escaped birds have very little intention of ever investigating their former cage again, but their safety may come into jepoardy as the gravity of the quandary of the Birdcage has been widly underestimated.
